CarlPet Adoption

Meet Carl! He’s a handsome guy who is looking for a home that can give him just a little time and patience to warm up to new people. Once he bonds with you, he’ll be your best bud, but Carl prefers to take it slow with new people and meet them outside of his living space. A big couch potato who enjoys shorter slow walks or even a game of fetch, Carl is ready for a home of his own. Carl would do best as the only dog in the home, but he has a lot of love to give you! Please reach out to an adoption specialist today to meet Carl.

KamadoPet Adoption

Kamado was a shy pup who has not had much socialization prior to arriving in Dogtown. She’s learning about all the good things in life like tasty treats, cozy bedding, and lots of toys to play with. Kamado finds a great deal of comfort in other dogs and is very playful and affectionate with them. She bonds with them quickly and follows their lead. Other dogs have played a huge part in helping her to trust people. Kamado would do best in a home with another dog that will take her under their wing. If you and your dog are interested in meeting Kamado, please reach out to an adoption specialist today. She’s ready to meet you!

VincentPet Adoption

Vincent is a stunning three-year-old veiled chameleon. While the start of his life might’ve been rough, things are looking up for this handsome man. Vincent is a spicy, independent creature looking for a forever family that can give him everything he needs. Most importantly, he will need a very specialized diet and enclosure, complete with the appropriate humidity and lighting requirements for this sensitive species. If you have questions about Vincent’s care, you can email his caregivers at wild@bestfriends.org or fill out his adoption application today!

SpidermanPet Adoption

Spiderman is an energetic and curious Sulphur Crested Cockatoo. He gets very excited by the world around him, but because his body language can be subtle, Spiderman would do best in a home with Sulphur Crested Cockatoo experience. If you are interested in meeting Spiderman, please fill out an application.

She will be a wonderful and loyal friend.  Blair is house-trained and would be good in a home with other dogs or alone.

Dexter

Dexter is 6 to 7 years old and very shy. He was found wandering the desert and needed medical attention. He is healing well and learning to trust. He seems to prefer women and would want a quiet, patient, dedicated home. He needs a secure yard. He would be good in a home with children or not.

Page

Me, me, me-owwwwww! My name is Page, and I am a singing sensation. Actually, I’m just singing for joy as I was rescued from a hoarding situation along with my mom, Sedona. I’m hoping for a chance to have a safe home with lots of toys and affection. I love having my head scratched. I am house-trained and would be good in a home with other cats or alone.  Will you give me the chance to sing for you?

Scout

My name is Scout, and I am on a reconnaissance mission to find the perfect home and owner. I was rescued from a hoarding situation and am eager to start a new life. I am house-trained and would be good in a home with other cats or alone. Are you adventurous and like to play? Will you provide me with the comforts of a safe and loving home? Come in and scout out what a terrific cat I am. You won’t be disappointed.

Lazlo

I am all dressed up and ready for a night out on the town. We can share a dinner or just hang out and watch a movie. I would also enjoy cuddling on your lap. I’ve been loved but came from a hoarding house so I’m excited to be in a safe and clean environment. I’m looking forward to having toys and someone to play with.

Bubba

I love to be included in everything. Whatever you’re up to I’ll be right there with you. I’d make the perfect companion for someone looking for an active lifestyle, and at the end of the day, I make the perfect cuddle buddy. I was found as a stray and they would love to help me find my perfect home.

I’m quite stunning if I do say so myself, but looks aren’t everything! I’m looking forward to finding a lifelong home with people who love and respect me for who I am. In my new home, I’ll love you like no other. Try to think of me as a diamond hidden within the earth; there’s beauty there, but it takes time and effort to bring it to the surface, and once you do that, you will have something incredibly valuable. My adoption fee is $60.

Rocky

Rocky is a curious dog that wants to know what is happening and where you are going but he is smart. He knows “sit” and “stay”. Since he was found as a stray he will be nervous at first but when he feels comfortable he just wants love and attention. If you are looking for a forever doggy Rocky is the one! His adoption fee is $60.

Roscoe

Roscoe is three months old He is loving and playful, and all he wants is company. He is a puppy and will need lots of love and patience, but remember that the return on your investment will be unequaled! He is such a handsome fellow! He will need to go to the vet in the coming month to get neutered and get his rabies vaccine, but those items will be covered in your adoption. This guy is ready to make you happy for the rest of his life! His adoption fee is $60.

Toby

Hi, I’m Toby. I was found abandoned. Sometimes I tend to get jealous when someone else is getting attention so a home where I could be the focus would allow me to flourish. I was a little reserved and to be honest, scared the first week I was here. Now that I know it’s safe here I have become much more social. Let me reassure you, I would be very happy to meet you and come to live with you. I am going to need lots of exercise and I am a little high energy when I first get outside but then I calm down and really soak up the lovin’ & attention that I am given. Ya know, a guy can’t pass up attention. I sure am ready for my life to look up again and I can’t wait to find a family that I can rely on and love forever. My adoption fee is $60.

Chipper

Chipper is a 4-month-old Puppy!! Chipper is a full-blown puppy, he is all about jumping and jumping, and did we mention jumping!?!?! He loves toys! He is a puppy and was born here at the shelter with his other 5 siblings. We had a DNA test done and the results were surprising to see that they are mainly poodle and golden retriever. Based on those two breeds this guy should be a smart loving boy! Remember he is a puppy and will need all the loving and caring hands he can receive to train him and get him to be an excellent loving pup! He knows “fetch”, and “bring back”, and will give you the ball so you can throw it again and again. His adoption fee is $60.

Naveah and Nitelite

Naveah
Nitelite

Bonded pair Naveah (6 years old) and Nitelite (4 ½ years old) are mother and daughter looking for a home together! These beautiful ladies were surrendered by their owner due to a change in life circumstances, and they’re anxious to get back to a home environment. Sweet, but shy, we may take a little time to warm up at first, mostly because we’re not sure why we’re here. But once we’re comfortable with you, we turn on the charm. We’re hoping for a quiet home where we can sit on the sofa with you and warm up your bed. Spend some time with us so you can see how great we truly are.  WE WOULD LIKE THEM ADOPTED TOGETHER IF POSSIBLE BUT WILL LET THEM FIND SINGLE HOMES IF NECESSARY. Their adoption fees are $40.

Quincy

Although she isn’t doing the full husky howl yet, baby Quincy is already very talkative and she has plenty of important things to say.

Born May 31st, she’s almost … but not quite … house trained. She loves water and would be so happy with an adopter who doesn’t mind snuggling a wet girl! She has fun with dogs of all sizes and even gets along with cats!

Quincy’s going to make a great family dog but her puppy teeth are razor sharp and she likes to bite so she should be fully supervised around kids. She needs lots of chew toys until those big-girl teeth come in.

Quincy will be available on August 4th after her second round of puppy shots but will need to come back to That BAM Place one more time for round three.

Ozzie

Ozzie is a sweet, playful girl who is ready for any adventure. At 3-1/2 years old, she has a lot of energy and loves to play. This girl can occupy herself alone outside but also loves to romp with kids and other dogs. She will always be happy to stop to give you kisses and follow you around admirably.

Ozzie does have a strong prey drive, however, so cats and chickens are not going to be safe with her. She’s an amazing dog that someone gave up on too soon. She is ready for a parent or family to give their love and time to her.

Diamond

Eight-year-old Diamond is a gentle girl who would give anything to be in an easy-going home with someone special who will take her on leisurely walks and activities and smother her with hugs! She adores sitting in the shady grass just being loved on.

The poor girl was rescued from a kill shelter in California and, even though she’s safe now, she’s not a fan of being kenneled and would much prefer sitting on a couch with her humans all day watching soap operas.

Diamond enjoys the company of other dogs and will gently remind those that are too playful to be respectful of her age. She’s not a grumpy old lady though–if you ever want a laugh, just get a toy out and watch her play. She steals everyone’s hearts. She has lots of love in her and just needs someone to share it with.

Biggie, Champ & Natasha

Meet the puppies! Biggie, Champ, and Natasha are feisty girls who love romping with their sisters, playing with toys, and showing off for people. These adorable pups will be available for adoption on September 1st. Meanwhile, come check them out at That BAM Place.

Roxy

Roxy needs a playmate!  This girl is so affectionate, full of life, and smart, smart, smart!!! She wants nothing more than get outside and play ball, tug, you name it–she just wants to play!

Unfortunately, life changes didn’t allow pretty Roxy to stay with her family and she has to be re-homed. She’s a wonderful girl (did we mention that she’s smart?) who needs someone with an active lifestyle and time to help develop her mind. She would probably be a great agility dog, frisbee fetcher, and/or running/hiking partner. And once she’s worn you out, she’ll snuggle up to you on the couch for cuddles and cookies. (Exercise and cookies- you can’t lose!) And can you imagine gazing into those gorgeous eyes every day?
