Billysouthern utah adoptable pets Billy

Billy is such a handsome affectionate boy! With his wrinkly forehead and his perky ears, you won’t be able to get enough of this goofball! Billy loves to bring his toys to people and is happy to throw them in the air by himself. He is calm in the car and loves to go on hikes.

His DNA test revealed that he’s 50% Boxer and 50% American Pit Bull Terrier. Billy can be a great exercise partner, but can also be a nice cuddle buddy as Billy loves a good nap too!

Billy would do best living with only an adult family.

Josh

Josh is a big goofy boy with lots of energy and lots of love to give. Josh loves attention and soft toys. He can forget how strong he is at times and be a little too enthusiastic when greeting, but he’s attentive to his people and has been enjoying working on his manners.

He loves being active especially playing in water and hiking so he’d be a good partner for someone looking for an adventure buddy. Josh likes to be the center of attention so would prefer to live in a house with no other pets so he can receive all the love!

If you think Josh would be a good fit for you or your family, or if you would like to learn more, click “Adopt Josh” above to complete our survey and be connected with an Adoption Specialist.

Groot

Groot is as goofy as they come. He’ll tell you that he’s never had a bad day, and in his mind, that’s true! Groot is up for anything. He loves walks, car rides, meeting new friends, toys, you name it.

Groot would do best in an adult-only home or a home with older teens where he can soak up all the love and attention from his people.

If you are interested in adding this big goofball to your family, reach out to an adoption specialist today.

Lizzie

Lizzie is a friendly girl looking for a heart to win. Her ideal home would have plenty of love to give, lots of comfy beds to sleep on, and wouldn’t mind giving her rides on their shoulders from time to time.

Lizzie can coexist well with other cats, though she wouldn’t mind all of your attention to herself either. This girl is the ideal blend of affectionate and independent – every kitty lover’s dream!

Contact our adoption team today if you think Lizzie could be your perfect match.

Luna

Luna is a quiet, thoughtful girl who, once she gets to know you, will smooch and happily show you her tricks.

She is looking for a caring and compassionate home that will help build her confidence and understand she is a bit shy when meeting new people.

Lucas

Lucas can be a bit sensitive and it may take time for him to settle into your life with you. Once he feels more secure there’s no doubt that he’ll be playful and active. He would do best with older children who can respect his boundaries and be patient with him while he settles in.

With patience and lots of treats, of course, Lucas will open up and become a great addition to the group. He’ll need daily exercise and interactive play time with you.

Lucas has lived in a backyard and is not comfortable being inside a home at this time. He is not house-trained. He loves attention, quiet, and just chilling.

Joey

Joey is a very handsome shepherd mix puppy, who came to the shelter with 5 brothers and sisters. Joey will need to be socialized with other pups and given opportunities to exhaust his puppy energy.

He will need to be taken out to potty every few hours…even during the wee hours of the night. He will definitely need a patient and loving family to work with him! Also, because he is still a pup, he can learn to get along with children and other animals.

Chandler

I’m Chandler! I’m an exuberant puppy with a constantly wagging tail and a huge grin on my beautiful face. My eyes sparkle with glee because I love absolutely everybody I meet and everyone who meets me loves me right back.

Since I’m so young I have lots of energy, and I’m strong too – the volunteers are helping me learn good manners BUT everything is so much fun I will need lots of reminders. I’m smart and enjoy learning tricks.

I  came to the shelter with 5 brothers and sisters. Oh, and I will need to go out and go to the bathroom every 2-3 hours. I sometimes have to go at night, too. I hope you don’t mind if I have to wake you up to take me out. I am still pretty young.

Monica

This striking lady in black is Monica! This perky-eared pup is loving and extremely energetic! She needs a very active household with older kids she can’t accidentally knock over.

Monica is still super young, and oh, so athletic… she will blossom with training, plenty of exercise, and loving supervision like most developing exuberant beings. She’s good around other dogs as she came to the shelter with 5 brothers and sisters.

This gorgeous girl is ready to share all her joy and affection. She will need to go out and go to the bathroom every 2-3 hours. She will sometimes have to go at night, too. She hopes you don’t mind if she has to wake you up to take her out as she is still pretty young.

This blond cutie is a good girl on the leash and likes long walks. She would do well in an active, adult-only home. Macy would love to have a home where someone is home with her most of the time.

She does well with other dogs. Macy is spayed and up-to-date with her vaccinations. She absolutely loves DogTV! This girl is paws-itively perfect and would love a home of her very own.

Quincy

Although she isn’t doing the full husky howl yet, baby Quincy is already very talkative and she has plenty of important things to say.

Born May 31st, she’s almost … but not quite … house trained. She loves water and would be so happy with an adopter who doesn’t mind snuggling a wet girl! She has fun with dogs of all sizes and even gets along with cats!

Quincy’s going to make a great family dog but her puppy teeth are razor sharp and she likes to bite so she should be fully supervised around kids. She needs lots of chew toys until those big-girl teeth come in.

Bing and Chunk

Brothers Bing and Chunk were surrendered together and have rarely been apart since they were born 2 years ago and, although we would love for them to be adopted together, we think they’ll be fine separately.

Bing, named for his beautiful Bing Crosby eyes, is energetic, playful, and loves to chew (antlers and durable toys preferred). He also enjoys cuddling and giving kisses. Bing has some fear of riding in cars and freezes up and doesn’t want to get in. However, after just a few trips to the dog park with our fabulous volunteers, he’s already becoming more relaxed and has a great time once he gets there. Trips to other fun places should help him continue with his progress.

Chunk is a big softie who, as his name suggests, loves his food and very much looks forward to mealtime but he does fine eating with other dogs and has never shown any food aggression. He loves his snacks!

Both pups are good with other dogs, cats, and kids and will make a great addition to an active family. As puppies, Bing and Chunk may do better with older children who will make sure not to leave toys laying around. (Did we mention both do love to chew and will need supervision since they will swallow toys if allowed.) Both Bing and Chunk would benefit from some training as they can jump and be mouthy when excited and haven’t had much experience walking on a leash. They need a loving family with room to play and time to help socialize them.

Izzy

One-year old Izzy is such a happy girl. She adores everyone (ok, we don’t know about cats yet) and loves to romp with kids, other dogs, or by herself if no one else is available.

Izzy is housebroken, spayed, microchipped, and is fully vetted. This super-sweet girl is anxious to begin her new life with a special person or family that adores her. She’s super smart and has a lot of puppy energy still so might do best with a family with kids and/or other dogs and would love a big yard to explore.

Roxy

Roxy needs a playmate!  This girl is so affectionate, full of life, and smart, smart, smart!!! She wants nothing more than get outside and play ball, tug, you name it–she just wants to play!

Unfortunately, life changes didn’t allow pretty Roxy to stay with her family and she has to be re-homed. She’s a wonderful girl (did we mention that she’s smart?) who needs someone with an active lifestyle and time to help develop her mind. She would probably be a great agility dog, frisbee fetcher, and/or running/hiking partner. And once she’s worn you out, she’ll snuggle up to you on the couch for cuddles and cookies. (Exercise and cookies- you can’t lose!) And can you imagine gazing into those gorgeous eyes every day?

Dash

Some Native American cultures believe having heterochromia (one blue eye and one brown) means one can see heaven and earth at the same time. They refer to this as having Ghost Eyes and beautiful Dash definitely has them. And if his eyes don’t melt your heart, his cute little nose will! Not only is he stunning, but he’s also a total love bug who will melt right into your arms.

Dash was dumped at Parowan Gap and lived on his own for at least two weeks. One of the local families put food out for him until he became brave enough to be coaxed inside where he immediately found the couch. He was good with their kids and dogs.

Dash is young (we’re guessing six months to a year) and has a lot of energy. He likes to play with other dogs but can be enthusiastic so he’ll do best with some training. He’s afraid of loud noises and sudden movements and terrified of water from a hose. Who knows what this sweet boy went through before he was left to fend for himself? He deserves so much better.
