Star Search Talent Show returns to St. George Independence Day celebration

By Della Lowe

In advance of its Independence Day celebration, the City of St. George will host its Star Search Talent Show. Those who wish to compete will need to audition for a place in the show. Auditions will be held for all potential performers June 26 beginning at 6 p.m. at the St. George Recreation Center. The top six finalists in each category will earn a slot at the July 4 show and have the chance to be crowned a St. George star. Auditions are open to anyone who has any sort of family-friendly act. Acts cannot exceed 3.5 minutes.

Cash and prizes will be awarded to the top three winners in each age category. All contestants may register online or pick up an entry form at St. George Leisure Services, located at 220 N 200 E, between 9 a.m. and 5 p.m. Auditioners must register prior to June 26, and a $5 entry fee will be collected. A full list of show finalists will be emailed to all entrants on June 28.

For more information, email races@sgcity.org or call (435) 627-4500. Information on the entire Fourth of July Celebration can be found on the City of St. George website.
