The Greatest Christmas Stories

December 21, 22, and 23 at 7 PM in Cedar City.

The SimonFest Theatre Company presents The Greatest Christmas Stories, an evening of Yuletide tales told in word, song, and dance.  Master Storyteller Richard Bugg heads a talented ensemble that brings to life many of the greatest Christmas stories and songs ever written — a charming and life-affirming treat for the entire family.

“I grew up in a storytelling household.  I wish to pass on that legacy and share my love for the spoken word,” proclaims Bugg, founder and Executive producer of the company. “Together with my very skilled company, we will bring to life through word and song (and occasionally audience participation) the great stories of Christmas.  The only thing missing will be the campfire.”

Dickens, Moore, Luke, Dahl, and many other great authors and songwriters will be a part of the evening’s mix.

Richard Bugg was trained at the National Theatre Conservatory, where he earned his Master of Fine Arts in Acting.  He has taught acting at the University level for 34 years and he started the SimonFest Theatre group in 2003.  He is both a stage and screen actor and the author of a Christmas book entitle “Let Me Come In.  Bugg is often asked to read stories at schools in the area.

“This is our Christmas card ‘to kids from one to ninety-two’,” chimes in Alyson King Wheeler, SimonFest Artistic Director.  “We are taking such great delight in these stories, that we know our audience will too.”

The Greatest Christmas Stories will play at the Heritage Center Theater in Cedar City December 21, 22, and 23 at 7 PM. For tickets visit SimonFest.org or call 435-267-0194.
