Who Do We Believe?

In medicine, we know that prescription before diagnosis is malpractice. So we have been conditioned to believe that in order to get a better answer we must ask a better question. During this COVID-19 pandemic, I challenge all of us to ‘Pause and Purge’ and Question the Answers!
For 30 years I have traveled the world, having worked with most of the Fortune 500, in 71 countries. One of the life-changing realizations I’ve discovered is that in Beijing China and Moscow Russia, the most highly guarded, defended, fortified and protected building is the government-owned and operated television station. Why? He and she who controls the hearts and minds of the people control the people! In every country, in every culture with mass media influence, we must investigate the source of information.
Here in our beloved America we must identify those producers, directors and on-air talent who are responsible for choosing the editorial content and guests for their shows, and clarify the political opinions, social/racial/sexual bias, understanding of the U.S. Constitution and Declaration of Independence, comprehension of a Democratic Republic and Free Market System and affiliation with certain Special Interest Groups of these powerful people. Why? He and she who asks the questions are in complete control of the conversation AND he and she who controls the content conversation controls the hearts and minds of the people!
I recently saw an interesting post that said: ‘If we shut down our mass media outlets for 30 days, 80% of our problems would go away.’ Hmmm.
News anchors, entertainers, athletes and common folk like you and me don’t understand medicine, the global delicate classified issues in foreign policy, negative ramifications of certain trade agreements and solutions to pandemics. Isn’t it time to stop circulating politically motivated unsolicited opinions and stick to singing and entertaining – especially responsible journalism? Because people are getting sick and dying let us listen to and trust our courageous, wonderful and selfless doctors and nurses who share Total Truth and can guide our next moves!
With respect to my friends of other faiths, may I use a Christian narrative to explain that if you want to learn about Christ stumbling toward the cross, you don’t ask Judas Iscariot, who betrayed Him? You ask Mary or Peter, James, and John. You don’t ask President Trump about Hillary and you don’t ask Hillary about President Trump.
We all need to be concerned about the bombardment of ‘Fake and Bias News’ we are being force-fed by CNN and MSNBC and FOX. May we check and double-check our sources of Real Truth before we rush to judgment? Remember – Some things are true whether you believe them or not! Everybody is entitled to an opinion but nobody is entitled to the wrong facts! We should not believe everything we think!
Again I challenge us to Question the Answers!
