Eagle Point Resort vision 2020Eagle Point Resort announced preliminary details for Vision 2020, which includes significant upgrades to the infrastructure of the resort for 2020 and beyond. The plan includes new lodging opportunities, installation of a snow-making system, new lifts to access many acres of skiable terrain, and the introduction of summer features to create a year-round destination integrated into the surrounding Fishlake National Forest.

Eagle Point Resort will add a new enhanced online booking engine for lodging reservations, roll out the The Mystery Machine Diner Food Truck, and offer sales and tours of ski-in/ski-out homesites at Aspen Crest.

In partnership with InnRoad — an all-in-one, cloud-based solution provider to the lodging industry — guests can utilize an integrated and all-inclusive booking engine for the resort’s ever-expanding suite of on-mountain lodging options. Guests will have the option to view property features, photos, up-to-the-minute rates and availability of any lodging property and to make reservations from a smart phone or computer.

To improve the dining and entertainment experience beyond the Outpost Grill and Skyline Cafe, the resort will offer the mobile Mystery Machine Diner slopeside with a full grill and craft beer options. The Mystery Machine is a van snowcat on tracks that will roll out on busier days and holidays to offer an alternative quick-dining and refreshment location without skiers needing to leave the snow.

“We’re seeing more and more visitors from beyond our local cities and Las Vegas, including guests from Southern California,” said Eagle Point Resort owner and CEO Shane Gadbaw. “The secret is out and people realize that there are other winter options within reasonable travel distance. This is creating pent-up demand for ownership options, and we expect this trend to continue. Not only are guests looking for an escape to the mountains but they crave an escape from the crowds and poor snow conditions that often plague many resorts in California. After the snow season, our cooler, drier location serves as getaway from the summer heat as well.”

Aspen Crest at Eagle Point is the resort’s residential location, situated in the heart of the resort area. With awe-inspiring views in every direction, each of the private home sites offers a seamless, all-season connection to over 1.5 million pristine acres within the surrounding Fishlake National Forest. With construction of phase one expected to be completed during summer of 2016, the the ski-in/ski-out residential development will offer exclusive access through the resort’s private 1,200 acres to the vast forest beyond for skiing, biking, hiking, or riding. Planning and design are also underway for the communities’ phase two, comprising ski-in/ski-out condos.

“Life is tranquil and peaceful up here, and we plan to keep it that way while we look to expand and add amenities,” said Gadbaw. “What we have created at Eagle Point allows friends and families to connect with one another and focus on what matters — making memories while skiing or riding great snow or spending summer breaks in the comfort of the mountains. With virtually no lift lines, Southern California residents can drive a little more to ski a lot more. And for the cost of one off-mountain hotel night elsewhere, you can enjoy a more convenient, ski-in/ski-out experience for an entire weekend.”

Eagle Point is a scenic 3.5-hour drive from Las Vegas and Salt Lake City and 6–8 hours from Arizona and coastal Southern California cities. The independently owned resort overages 400 inches of snow each year across 600 skiable acres and over 1,500 vertical feet including some of the steepest lift-serviced terrain in Utah.
