Teri walks well on a leash and absolutely loves her hikes. She enjoys affection, thrives on spending time with her humans, and gets along wonderfully with other dogs. She also loves children, making her a great fit for families of many kinds. Teri gets along with everyone.

This sweetheart is ready to bring warmth, companionship, and joy into her forever home. Come in and meet her — you will fall in love the moment you see her.

Ember

Ember is a 9-week-old black Retriever puppy with shiny midnight fur, soulful eyes, and a personality as warm as her name. She is full of playful energy and endless curiosity, spending her days chasing toys, exploring every corner she can find, and giving the sweetest puppy cuddles.

She’s already showing the loyal, gentle nature Retrievers are known for, mixed with just the right amount of mischievous puppy charm. Small in size but big in heart, Ember turns every moment into an adventure and every person she meets into a friend.

Ember is scheduled to be spayed, vaccinated, dewormed, and microchipped, making her well on her way to a healthy start in life.

If you’re looking for a loving, joyful, ready-to-learn puppy who will grow into a devoted companion, Ember may be the perfect match. Come meet this little spark of happiness and see if she’s the one meant to brighten your home.

Nala

Nala is a 5-year-old sweetheart with a gentle soul and a heart full of devotion. This lovely Heeler mix is the perfect medium-sized companion, and those expressive ears make her impossible to forget. “She knows basic commands and loves her humans unconditionally.”

Nala is wonderfully well-rounded — she’s great with kids, has lived peacefully with cats, and even enjoys cuddling with them, showing just how affectionate and adaptable she is. She loves hiking, car rides, running, playing, and simply being part of whatever her family is doing.

This darling girl isn’t just looking for a home — she’s ready to bring warmth, loyalty, and joy into someone’s life. If you’re hoping for a dog who will love you deeply and fit seamlessly into family life, Nala is waiting to meet you. She’s ready to go home and “love you up.”

Phoebe

Phoebe is a 3-year-7-month-old beauty who is as delightful as she is stunning. Phoebe is a delicious girl, and she truly is an absolute doll when it comes to manners, affection, and gentle companionship. Phoebe is front declawed.

With her calm sweetness and loving nature, Phoebe is the kind of cat who makes a home feel warm the moment she enters a room. She enjoys attention, offers affection freely, and has a poised, elegant presence that makes her irresistible.

If you are searching for a well-mannered, affectionate companion who will bring grace and love into your life, Phoebe may be the perfect match. She is ready to meet her person and begin her next chapter.

Raven

Raven is a striking one-year-old beauty who will steal your heart the moment you meet her. With her sleek black coat and bright, expressive eyes, she is as stunning on the outside as she is sweet on the inside. Raven is a striking girl.

This affectionate girl adores her humans and loves being part of whatever you are doing. She is playful, cuddly, and happiest when she can soak up attention from her favorite people. Raven does well with dogs, but she prefers to be the only cat so she can enjoy all the love for herself.

If you are looking for a loyal, loving companion who will fill your home with warmth and personality, Raven may be the perfect match. She is ready to meet her forever family and start her next chapter.

T

Meet T, a 10-month-old black beauty with a heart as soft as his sleek fur. T is one sweetheart of cat, and he proves it the moment you meet him. This handsome boy is affectionate, gentle, and known to purr up a storm the second he gets attention.

T has that perfect mix of youthful curiosity and easygoing charm. Whether he’s leaning in for pets, exploring his surroundings, or settling in for a cozy nap, he brings a calm, loving presence to any room.

You can meet T in the PAWS Cat Room, where he’s patiently waiting to choose his person — and he just might decide that person is you. If you’re looking for a sweet, loyal companion who will fill your home with warmth and steady purrs, T is ready to start his new life by your side.

It also welcomes volunteers for a variety of activities and needs foster families for animals awaiting their forever homes. If you’re interested in any BAM dog, submit a BAM Adoption Application, and if approved, we’ll contact you as soon as possible to arrange a meeting. Aurora

Nine-year-old Aurora is a petite, sweet, energetic 40 lb girl who plays well with other dogs, even puppies, and loves giving her people LOTS of licks and kisses! She enjoys older, respectful kids but, unfortunately, toddlers make her very nervous and defensive. She’s ok with kids over five but not younger. It’s important that she gets placed in a home without young children. She’s also not a fan of cats.

Aurora has been spayed and is current on her vaccinations. She is trained to know several commands. She walks well on a leash and rides well in a car. She is housebroken and knows how to use a doggie door. She is friendly, playful, obedient, protective, and beautiful.

Duke

A very sweet woman raised Duke since he was just a puppy, and while she gave him lots of love, she couldn’t give him the training and socialization he needed when he was young. He didn’t get exposed to many things, which left him unsure about new situations. Now, at a year old, Duke is learning:manners, how to walk on a leash and ride in a car, and, with slow, thoughtful introduction, as he can still get overwhelmed, how to play with people and other dogs. He’s a high-energy boy who likes treats, toys, playing, cuddling, and being petted absolutely everywhere.

Duke is becoming a sweet and confident dog. He’s catching on FAST and is looking for a patient adopter to help continue his training. He has already been neutered, vaccinated, and microchipped, so he’s ready to meet his new best friend.

Gunner

Just like in the bayou, a good gumbo gets better with time, and that is just like our sweet senior boy, Gunner. This 12-year-old Louisiana Catahoula Leopard Dog has the classic speckled coat the breed is known for and a pair of ghost blue eyes that light right up when you grab a toy.

Gunner is a gentle old soul who enjoys friendly dogs and absolutely soaks up all the love and attention he gets from the staff and volunteers. These days, he is looking for a calm, comfortable home where he can go out for a leisurely stroll, then rest his paws, enjoy some companionship, and take life at an easy pace.

Because Gunner is a senior gentleman, he would do best in a home without cats or small children. Older visiting kids are just fine as long as they understand that sometimes an old bayou dog just needs a little peace and quiet.

Dusty

One-year-old Dusty has the cutest overbite, which makes him look like he’s always smiling … or maybe he’s smiling because he’s always happy. He also has somewhat of a cropped tail, adding to his 40 pounds of charm. He’s a friendly boy who enjoys being with people and other dogs.

Make arrangements to meet Dusty today!

Rio

Born in October of 2025, Rio is a friendly, playful, outgoing boy who would make a great companion for someone who enjoys an active outdoor lifestyle. Rio has plenty of energy and loves to stay busy!

Rio would do best in a home with older children as he may get excited and accidentally knock over younger kids. He would also do better with dogs that are not seniors since he enjoys playing and can keep going for hours.

Rio is a sweet dog with no aggression. He would benefit from learning basic commands and having an adopter who is willing to spend time on training and guidance.

Rio has already been neutered but he is still only available LOCALLY ONLY as foster to adopt meaning we can only accept applications from someone in the Hurricane area (Washington County). Once he receives his final vaccinations on May 1, his adoption can be finalized and this little ball of energy will be all yours.

Jodi

With her cute underbite, four-year-old Jodi might just be one of the most adorable girls ever! Jodi came to us with a difficult history but thanks to the love and patience of the BAM team and an extensive training program with Serenity Now K9, she has blossomed into a staff favorite. To support her transition, we’ll provide complementary training with Serenity Now K9 prior to her adoption.

Jodi’s searching for someone to be her person. She needs a dedicated adopter experienced with rescue dog rehabilitation who can provide the love, consistency and continued training she needs to thrive. Once she’s comfortable and builds a bond with her adopter, she’s trusting, wiggly and full of joy. She deserves a real forever home.

Jodi requires slow, managed introductions with new people and will do best in a calm, structured environment where she can settle into a routine without frequent interruptions from visitors. She loves going for hikes, riding in the car, getting belly rubs, doing zoomies, stretching out in the sun, and playing in her kiddie pool. Like any other dog, she just wants to be loved.

Jodi is available LOCALLY ONLY as foster to adopt. That means we are only accepting applications from the Hurricane area (Washington County). Once she has transitioned, her adoption will become final.
