Visitors looking to experience Zion after sunset—or escape the crowds during the day—have even more options this season as Zion Jeep Tours expands its popular Night Sky Tours and highlights new opportunities for guided excursions through the historic Zion-Mount Carmel Tunnel to the park’s spectacular east side.

For nearly two years, the company has been taking guests far from city lights for unforgettable stargazing adventures in Southern Utah’s dark skies. Now, Zion Jeep Tours has expanded its ability to accommodate much larger groups while continuing to offer the intimate, off-the-beaten-path experiences that have made the tours a favorite among visitors.

Zion Jeep Tours expands its 2026 summer season with new night sky stargazing adventures, custom tunnel tours, and off-road excursions for groups up to 50.

The company is also reminding travelers that its smaller Jeep vehicles can legally travel through the Zion-Mount Carmel Tunnel, making it an ideal way to explore the park’s east entrance while larger commercial vehicles face increasing restrictions. Guests can now enjoy a three-hour adventure that combines scenic exploration on the east side of Zion with an off-road journey through the rugged backcountry south of the park. Custom tunnel-focused tours are also available.

Beyond its scheduled tours, Zion Jeep Tours is expanding its lineup of customizable experiences. The company now offers private tours, catered meals in the mountains, corporate outings, weddings, large group excursions for up to 50 people, private night tours, and other personalized adventures tailored to guests’ interests.

Originally founded in 2003 as Zion Outback Safaris, the company has introduced thousands of visitors to the lesser-known corners of Zion and the surrounding backcountry. Current owner Ben Dold purchased the business in 2024 after working as one of its guides, bringing his lifelong passion for off-roading and Southern Utah exploration to the next chapter of the company. Today, the business continues to emphasize small-group experiences, local knowledge, and access to landscapes many visitors never discover on their own.

Whether visitors are hoping to photograph the Milky Way, explore the colorful slickrock east of Zion, or plan a one-of-a-kind private adventure, Zion Jeep Tours offers flexible experiences designed around nearly any occasion.
