Tom Garrison
With a strong interest in politics since his teen years, Tom was a political activist for decades. He earned a BA and MA in political science. For 18 years he edited a political science journal and twice ran for city council in Santa Barbara, California in the 1980s.
In the past 14 years he has published more than 165 articles and eight books—five hiking books, a memoir, a political book, and a joke book. Five of the books and several articles received literary awards.
