Tom Garrison
With a strong interest in politics since his teen years, Tom was a political activist for decades. He earned a BA and MA in political science. For 18 years he edited a political science journal and twice ran for city council in Santa Barbara, California in the 1980s.
In the past 16 years he has published more than 170 articles and nine books—five hiking books, a memoir, a political book, and two joke books. Five of the books and several articles received literary awards.
