KANAB — The music, story, and enduring romance of country music legends Johnny Cash and June Carter will take center stage in Kanab on May 30 when Kane County Center for the Arts presents Because You’re Mine: The Music of June Carter and Johnny Cash.
The performance begins at 2 PM at the Kanab Auditorium, located at 59 East Cowboy Way, and offers audiences more than a traditional tribute concert. Combining live music with storytelling, the production explores the lives and relationship of Cash and Carter while featuring many of the songs that made them household names.
Organizers describe the show as an authentic and engaging theatrical experience that celebrates the couple’s personal and musical journey. Through performances and narration, audiences will follow the story behind one of country music’s most beloved partnerships while enjoying familiar favorites from Johnny Cash’s extensive catalog.
Presented by Kane County Center for the Arts, the production continues the organization’s efforts to bring a variety of arts and cultural programming to the Kanab community.
Discounted tickets are available through May 29, with tickets also available at the door on the day of the performance.
