St. George residents and visitors will soon have another destination on the entertainment landscape. On Oct. 18, the new Mallfest community celebration will make its debut. A full slate of fun for the whole family will get underway in the parking lot in front of JCPenney at 6 p.m. with music, food trucks, vendor booths, kid-friendly games, and more until midnight.

Building on the success of St. George Streetfest, which has been a “first Friday” community staple for six years, the new Mallfest event will offer an attractive opportunity for southern Utah locals to connect, socialize, and celebrate. Now there will be two great events in town, where the entire family can enjoy an evening out together in exactly the same format as Streetfest with the addition of more activities for kids, such as bounce houses, games, and climbing walls.

Mallfest will be presented on the third Friday of each month. The Mallfest community stage will feature local performers including high school drill teams, school choirs, and vocal students. For those 21 and over, a beer and wine garden will offer adult beverages for $5 each with no cover charge to attend the festival.
