The Stage Door Expands Their Horizons With 2023 Season

“The Stage Door manages to widen the palette of theatrical experience with shows that will often Take you where you don’t expect to go,” as patron Paul Nickels recently stated. We have proved this time and again over the years with great shows like The Producers, Young Frankenstein, Chicago, A Chorus Line, and Something Rotten. We plan to do it again.

The Stage Door’s 2023 season will be nothing but a good time. The rock epic Rock of Ages, directed by the brilliant Venny Carranza, paired with the musical talents of Alice Ericksen, and the light design of Joshua Scott, give you a team that wants to rock. We will follow it with the magic of The Wizard of Oz, directed by our gifted Brianna Rosia. Both children leads and their mentor leads will collaborate on the same role. Pioneered this summer, this process will make our second child/mentor show.

We are also extremely excited to be offering a play written by the comedic genius Steve Martin. Picasso at the Lapine Agile will be directed by Kelly Thomas, theatre teacher at Pine View High School, fulfilling our mission of exposing Southern Utah audiences to art they wouldn’t normally have the opportunity to see. Monty Python’s Spamalot is another musical comedy we will bring back locally. Our most requested play of the season, we anticipate it will bring out a lot of your favorite male performers to audition. Our fifth show, A Tuna Christmas, will take place in December. This two-man show contains 22 different characters, both male and female. It is hilarity on stage, and the audience will love it.

Our unique season ticket options make it even easier to be entertained at The Stage Door. Through Showtix4u.com, we sell Season Flex Passes. These come in packages of six or ten tickets. The truly distinctive thing about them is that you can redeem them in any configuration of tickets. If you get a ten-ticket pass, you can choose to get four tickets to one show and six to another. Or you can choose to get two tickets to every show during the 2023 season. These tickets are redeemable through a code you get at checkout and in your email. You will use the same code each time you redeem tickets until you have redeemed all six or 10.

At The Stage Door, we hope you get the chance to see something you haven’t seen before, to laugh with your whole being, and to be inspired in your heart.
