Wonder Wednesdays cater to early-out students in Iron County

By Todd Prince

Frontier Homestead State Park is teaming up with other organizations in Cedar City for a new program called Wonder Wednesdays, held in conjunction with early-out Wednesdays for elementary schools in the Iron County School District. Children accompanied by an adult can drop by anytime between 2 and 4 p.m. for make-and-take activities or self-guided programming at Frontier Homestead State Park (first Wednesday), the Cedar City Library (second Wednesday), the Southern Utah Museum of Art (third Wednesday), and the Frehner Museum of Natural History (fourth Wednesday). These programs are free for Iron County elementary students.

On Wonder Wednesdays, there is sure to be something to make you think, smile, or laugh. Spend some time learning about your family by playing with your family. For more information about Wonder Wednesdays and to see a calendar of the month’s activities, call (435) 586-9290 or visit frontierhomestead.org/wonder-wednesdays.
